Florida Atlantic University is seeking participants for a study titled “Should I Stay, or Should I Go?” which evaluates how climate and weather stressors—such as floods, extreme heat, and hurricanes—influence residential moving decisions in Southeast Florida.
To be eligible, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Residency: Current or past resident (within the last 5 years) of specific neighborhoods, as included in the flyers.
- Homeownership: Must currently own or have previously owned a home in one of these neighborhoods.
- Commitment: Completion of a 12-question screening survey and attendance at a 45-minute online focus group.
Participation Details
- Date: Jan 5-7th, depending on your neighborhood
- Compensation: Participants who complete the focus group will receive a $40 gift card.
- Benefits: Attendees will learn about local flood risks, advocate for their community, and help inform local planners and decision-makers.
