For those members who are new to the Council, we started this effort in 2008 and it was officially submitted in 2011. Very little has happened since then. It is a 135 page report that you can download here.

On behalf of the Council of Fort Lauderdale Civic Associations, I would like to invite you to our next General Membership Meeting on April 14 to give the monthly Police Report. We are concerned about the recent situation regarding racist videos posted by officers of FLPD. We want to know the facts from you and not the media or blogosphere or gossip.
This reprehensible behavior toward members of our community, our neighbors and frends is outrageous and will not be tolerated. We want to know from you what happened, when and how it was discovered, what did you do and what are you doing going forward.
It is very important for you and for our City that the facts are presented in a transparent manner and discussion with community representatives is encouraged. We will modify the agenda for our meeting to give you ample time to talk with us. Please let me know as soon as possible if you can attend. I can be reached at 954 760 9224.

The Report “Development Patterns”
This report “Development Patters” was presented at the City Commission Workshop and forms the basis for the discussion about future development.
CFLCA Supports the EAB
The Fort Lauderdale Education Advisory Board sent a communication to the City Commission expressing concern that the Board Oversight Committee did not appear to have sufficient community representation. CFLCA sent a letter to the Broward School Superintendent supporting the EAB’s position.
